The bands coming to Sibiu/Hermannstadt in 2007 to participate in the European House of Arts activities will also have the wonderful opportunity to perform on the roof of the NEW library. Situated at the end of the Astra Park it is a wonderful and magnificent building, a modern counter-point to the old Astra Library.
There is a venue for more than 200 seats on the roof and the guests can enjoy these concerts and events with a stunning view of Sibiu/Hermannstadt at the same time. Every week, from Wednesday to Sunday the library guests will be enchanted with a high calibre cultural programme to the pleasures of the heights of the City, on the roof of the Astra Library.
To compliment the new utility library, which also caters for Internet and digital information resources, the programme will be varied and manifold. Each week from Wednesday until Sunday, from the 8th August until 15th September, the guests will see foreign and Romanian bands, theatre and literature events.
